A long time New Castle staple. A Pizza or Cheese steak from Pat's. You can tell its good by the number of local county Police officers that line up. I had their Cheese Steak with extra steak and cheese. A belt buster (or guaranteed to take a year off your life.) Aahhhh. Since my relatives have always lived in the New Castle area and I went to the U of Delaware, I've gotten used to late night hours and local Cheese Steaks. We now live in Tampa so Pat's was a "first lunch back, got to get a cheese steak." It was everything it was meant to be.

I have twice in last few weeks from Pat's. The first time (a snow day) I ordered for a set time (12PM) and my order was TWO HOURS late. It was free, but also pointless. I ordered a second time hoping it was just a bad occurrence because of weather. I again placed a scheduled delivery for 12PM, and I called at 12:15 and they first couldn't find my order and then said "Oh, well we are backed up..." So basically, every time I order for a set time, because I teach and it HAS to be a set time, they mess it up. I knew I shouldn't have ordered again!

We order here frequently for seminars and luncheon meetings at work. Nothing is ever messed up (unlike a certain competitor...), service is quick, and scheduled deliveries are always on time. I LOVE Pat's salads (particularly the grilled chicken and the Oriental chicken). Great lunch specials, too.

Whenever I visit my best friend in New Castle I never hesitate to stop here when I need my Chicken Cheesesteak fix! The rolls are huge just like I like them and the chicken plentiful. Actually, I returned a day later for the chicken parm which was HUGE! It was enough for two. Pat, you're the best!!!
